Sheridan Press Business Article

John and Galen are Sheridan, Wyoming natives and each share a profound appreciation for our community’s heritage and a firm commitment to our continued prosperity in the years to come. Their grandfather, John P. Chase came to the area by train in the 1920’s from Boston, Massachusetts. He returned later with his bride for their honeymoon and again many times afterwards to visit old friends, partake in business ventures or check in on the cattle ranch he purchased where John and Galen and their sister Lolly all grew up and where their father and mother continue to live today.

Galen and John inherited their grandfather’s entrepreneurial spirit and love for the West. When not working on their family’s ranch or managing other ranch operations, Galen successfully started and operated a natural beef production and marketing company; he has spent the last 2 years involved in real estate acquisitions and helping manage a residential subdivision and development project in Sheridan. John, in addition to his wealth of knowledge and passion for land management planning and experience in managing large ranches and landscapes, has extensive experience in construction and spent nearly 10 years building custom homes in the Vail Valley of Colorado.

Their ranch up-bringing and experience in other business activities; plus the time spent living in various parts of the country and their travel abroad coupled with their educational accomplishments give John and Galen the unique ability to understand the needs of sophisticated buyers and to communicate effectively and coherently.

In only three years, John has quickly risen to the top in Sheridan real estate, earning respect from his peers and clients while carefully making sure people properly matched with a property.  Galen joined John in the winter of ’06-’07 and brought with him a high degree of expertise in deal-making.  Just like working together on their family ranch, with hard work and results in mind, John and Galen create a great deal of synergy and solution-oriented results.  The Chase Brothers are the top local team of real estate agents in the Sheridan area and they’ll work hard and creatively to professionally earn your respect and also to be your friends at the end of the day.

About Our Area

Along the eastern slope of Wyoming's Big Horn Mountains stretches one of the most beautiful, desirable, and valuable real estate markets in the west. Do you envision yourself working, living, and playing in the shadow of the Big Horns? Sheridan, Wyoming and the surrounding area offers a once-in-a-lifetime real estate and living opportunity for individuals in search of a perfect piece of the historic West.

Recently honored with True West Magazine's 2005 Western Town of the Year Award, Sheridan attracts people in search of a small town lifestyle with the benefits of big-city culture, dining, and boutique shopping. Known for its devotion to the Arts and western heritage, Sheridan is a growing community of 15,000 with a thriving economy, award-winning school systems, and quality air service. Sheridan's historic Main Street sits as the city's centerpiece, with numerous shops catering to locals and tourists alike. Recreation opportunities abound with the nearby Big Horn Mountains, three golf courses, lakes for boating and fishing, and an Arts community featuring the historic WYO Theater.

The valley surrounding Sheridan also contributes to the area's uniqueness. To the east stretch endless miles of pristine prairie ranchland. To the south and west, the Big Horn Mountains jut from the landscape, displaying a breathtaking glimpse of Mother Nature's handiwork and protecting the valley from Wyoming's notorious wind. Steeped in history, the valley stands as a piece of the old frontier. Sioux Indian tribes and US Cavalrymen battled it out in the hills of Sheridan County, and buffalo roamed the countryside which to this day brims with wildlife. Much like Sheridan itself, the Valley of the Big Horns is truly one of the last best places to put down roots in America's west.
